RT7 "Out of Memory"
If you get "Out of Memory" errors whenever you want to change your DynamIP
settings (menu Setup|...) you have probably a version mismatch with at least one of the
OCX libraries, or the file was installed in the wrong directory, or you have multiple
copies on your system. Here's how to fix the problem:
- Uninstall DynamIP.
- Unregister the 7 OCX files used by DynamIP (cmuTCP.ocx,
mscomctl.ocx, comdlg32.ocx, ntsvc.ocx, richtx32.ocx, tabctl32.ocx, xTFtp.ocx) [see instructions here]; a list
of all the files needed by DynamIP is available on the page Required Files.
- Make backup copies of these OCX files and then delete them from your system. Make sure
that you get rid of all the copies on your system (other programs might have installed
additional copies in other directories...).
- Reinstall DynamIP (make sure you actually have the latest
version of DynamIP!).
- Start DynamIP.
